A Beginner's Tibetan Dharma Language Course. Module 1.

ATIF
Enrollment in this course is by invitation only

Tibetan is a sacred language — a perfect vessel for conveying the Bon and Buddhist teachings. Being able to directly understand the words you recite during practice transforms your relationship with the Dharma, bridging the gap between the mind, the sound of the words, and their actual meaning.

This course is the first of three modules offering a comprehensive introduction to Tibetan Dharma Language (chos skad).

Module 1 covers:

  • The importance and beauty of the Tibetan language
  • Grammar as a sacred science; the Dharma Language (chos skad)
  • Sanskrit and Tibetan
  • The alphabet, the syllable, reading, and writing
  • Word formation in Tibetan
  • Basics on the Tibetan verb
  • Presentation of available study materials

Each module consists of 10 two-hour weekly lessons (with a short break), each followed by a one-hour exercise session three to four days later. All formal lessons are recorded and made available to students.
